Sony website tells its customers to wait till November to upgrade their drivers for windows 10. If anyone using sony vaio system upgraded to win 10 without any failure, please reply. I tried to use the Sony system, and could not even find my pc series number to enable me to proceed and begin looking for a Sony approved download date for Windows 10. It stinks as I never chose to join their useless membership programme (designed to sell lots of unnecessary add ons). So if a Sony approved upgrade of Windows 10 needs every owner to have signed upo to their superfluous membership scheme I and others are screwed. Maybe a MS bod can advise? Windows 7 user!
Hi I have also upgraded and found the same issue with the blue tooth. Any help appreciated!!! SVT1312B4E Incidently- I wanted to also get rid of Sony bloatware and make a clean install.
I bought a ITB SSB and put this in the machine before making a USB media windows 10 upgrade key. The Sony Vaio has no license key sticker the Windows 8.0 license key is buried in the bios.
After I made the install of windows 10 it did not automatically find the key and was insisting I typed a product key from a license key sticker. I tried a few programs to retrieve this key (magic jelly bean etc) but nothing worked. I put my original HDD back in the machine and upgraded this using the 'Upgrade this PC now' from windows 10 site (this method carries over all the junk from previous installs). This upgrade worked OK.
I still wanted the clean install so I pulled out the old drive and put back in the 1TB hard drive with the clean install of win 10. This automatically authenticated so I have a nice clean install on a fast 1tb ssd. All works very well (except for the blue tooth!).
