I got my DC working fine on my G50VT-X5, I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64bit. I dl'ed all the latest ATK drivers from Asus' site and I found a Direct Console 2.0.9 version made for Windows 7 32/64bit installer. It's on Asus' driver page, just do a search for 'direct console' and you'll find it.
